The good weather is here...and seems like just yesterday your little one was sleeping as a new born baby. Now today, he or she is about two and you cannot believe the energy she/he has.
Your little one will be enjoying all kinds of fun games, from playing with their little frog, to playing with a bouncy ball. Did you know that this is all part of building up their bodies.
Playing with balls, blocks, toy cars and other toys helps with their hand eye co-ordination. Just a few things to remember, before your toddler plays...do a quick safety check of the floor. If you have carpet down, double check that nothing is on the floor that your little one can try to eat. (paper clips, pins etc)
Cover all electrical outlets, and if possible remove tables that may tip over. Oh, if you have a pet (dog or cat just put their bowl up) Toddlers love to explore and taste test new items!!
It's important that when you shop for a toy, double check for loose parts or small parts. Some toddlers still like to 'test" their toy by trying to eat it.
It's always a great idea to stay in the room when your toddler is playing..this way play-time can be enjoyed safely. Hey why not play along? sharing play time helps to build comunication skills as well as the first steps in learning how to share.
***Please keep a close eye on your toddler when they are playing near water!
We hope our tips and suggestions help you...Please be sure to check with your babies doctor.
