His size, speed talent along with his determination and perserverance has made Daunte Culpepper one of the all-time great football quarterbacks.
His Life
Daunte, was born Jan. 28, 1977, his mum was a teenager who was serving time in jail for armed robbery. His father was not around, because of this he was placed in a foster home. His foster mother Emma, had been a foster parent to 15 other foster kids. Daunte, later said Emma had so much love to give. Age 5 Daunte's mother was released from jail, but Daunte wanted to stay with his foster mum.
In high school and college Daunte did not do so well, as sports was his passion he did not pay much attention to school work. Unfortunately, with low grades he could not be on the football team in college. A football coach saw how he was struggling with his school work and offered his time to help. With lots of hard work and dedication Daunte starting getting A's and B's., because of his good grades Daunte was placed on the Honour roll, and on the football team.
Daunte Culpepper wanted to dedicate his life to helping others who are in the foster care system. He is the celebrity spokes person for African American adoption agency in St. Paul Minnesota..
