Enjoying Christmas Time With your Toddler
Wow, it's Christmas time! This time of year can be very exciting but it also can be very stressful; we thought we would share a few tips to help you and your toddler through this hoilday season.,
Over the next few days or so you may of noticed that different companies, organizations or even your friends are having get togethers or special dinners for christmas, and they have invited you and your little one to join them.
These are always nice to go to but it is super important to remember that while it maybe fun and exciting for you, some times too many people or loud noices can be a little stressful on your little one who may not understand everything.
When going to a Christmas dinner try to keep in mind to "see things through your little ones eyes" by this we mean that you are the best judge of your little one...so when he/she is expressing the need to go home or they want to go to sleep that is a good time to leave for home, don't worry your friends will and do understand.
It is against the law to drink and drive!! so please don't drink and drive!! stay alert for your little one!
Shopping in the malls have started to get super busy..to make things easier for you and your little one try to go to the mall in the morning..just for an hour or so. The weekdays are the best you could shop for a couple of hours in the morning. This makes it easier for you alot less line-ups and people.
Remember to bring with you some healthy snacks, like fruit and juice for your toddler. Plan for bathroom breaks (often) always go with your little one to ensure safety and to help with the washing of the hands.
Plan a special play time... shopping is fun but your little one may get bored after awhile so take some time to have some fun.
We wish you and your little one A vey Merry Christmas and a happy and safe new Year!
